Care tips

We take the stress out of every morning by providing nutritious meals, cows milk for bottles, nappies, wipes and sunscreen. 

Parents and whanau bring their child along to Preschool in suitable clothing, with at least three sets of named spare clothes for all children, and formula for infants and toddlers if required.

All allergies will be catered for, parents and whanau can supply their own food, creams and sunscreen if they wish for their child with allergies.

Please bring a copy of your child’s immunisation certificate (print out from the doctor or in the Well Child/Plunket book), birth certificate or passport.

 We encourage five settling in visits for your child to become familiar with their teachers and learning environment and start to build relationships. 

We recognise children settle at different paces and you are welcome to visit as many times as you like.

$8 per hour for all ages (excludes 20 hours ECE), includes nutritious meals, cow milk for bottles, nappies, wipes and sunscreen.

$300 per week, up to 45 hours (excludes 20 hours ECE) or $200 per week, up to 45 hours (includes 20 hours ECE). Includes nutritious meals, cow milk for bottles, nappies, wipes and sunscreen. For bookings over 45 hours per week, $8 per additional hour is charged. Under 3 minimum booking of 9 hours p/wk.

20 Hours ECE for 3, 4, 5 year olds, 2, 3, 4 and 5 day bookings are a minimum of 6.5 hours per day, 2 days per week. 2 days = $30, 3 days = $45, 4 days = $80, 5 days = $130. For bookings over 6.5 hours a day, $8 per additional hour is charged. 20 hour ECE bookings include nutritious meals, cow milk for bottles, nappies, wipes and sunscreen. 6.5 hour minimum booking applies to all children over 3.

Full fees apply to public holidays, school term breaks and absences. If children are dropped off early and/or picked up late, additional time will be charged at $8 an hour.

Enquire with WINZ, you may qualify for a childcare subsidy. Childcare Subsidy, Application and Change of Circumstances forms are available at reception.

Two weeks notice is required to end enrolments.

 Information and enrolment packs are delivered on request and available to pick up from reception. Simply get in touch with our Preschool Team Leader Kim Monday to Thursday or Lead Teacher Becky Fridays, or drop into 53-55 James Street Whakatane between 7am and 5.30pm.
